What does this mean, what is this product, how does this work?

This product offers the possibility to stay in contact with your loved ones in the Philippines at affordable prices, and with complete cost control. You will never spent more that 40€ per month to talk to your family.

How does this work?
Well, first Bayan need to verify if the address of your family in an area covered by Bayan. This can either be a land line connection or a wireless landline connection. If your family lives in an area covered by Bayan, you can sign a contract with your repective Bayan reseller. Bayan will then install a telephone (either wire less or wire bound) at your families site. This is for free. The family can use this phone for free calls within the local area code. For example, when your family lives in the Manila area, they can use this phone to call all numbers within the area code in Manila (area code 2) for free, Furthermore all phone of other Bayan customers in the Philippines can be called for free.

In Germany a special (German!) number will be assigned in the closest major city to you. Now, whenever you call this German number, using whatever phone (local charges may apply), you will be connected to the Bayan phone in your family immediately. So you can call from your home, from your handy or from your friends location, you can always reach your family immediately.
